Ballet Ambassadors

The mission of Ballet Ambassadors is to give children in schools, afterschool programs, and homeless shelters the chance to take the stage in costumed adaptations of the ballet classics, original ballets, and world dance productions.

New in 2009! "Around the World in Dance"
An eight-week residency during which six third or fourth grade classes at a school learn indigenous dance forms to indigenous music from each of the six habitable continents. The culminating performance is danced in costume by up to 180 children.

   
Back by Popular Demand! "The Nutcracker" residency
An eight-week residency during which six to eight classes from one or more grades participate in interactive choreographic workshops to create their own costumed adaptation of the holiday classic.
