Giving Children a Chance to Dance With Us

The mission of Ballet Ambassadors is to give children in general education schools, special education schools, homeless shelters, hospitals, and camps the chance to share the stage with professional ballet dancers in costumed adaptations of the classics as well as original ballets. No other program offers youngsters the opportunity for both participation and exposure to top tier ballet dancing.

Our work touches the lives of youngsters in myriad positive ways. Not the least of these is to afford the children with the sense of self-esteem that comes from success in this endeavor. We also instill a striving for personal best along with the value of teamwork. Finally, the joy of dancing to great music in beautiful costumes and seeing – in many cases for the first time ever -- the dazzling performances of ballerinas on pointe and male dancers doing soaring leaps and multiple turns makes the culminating performance an indelible life event for every child.

WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT BALLET AMBASSADORS HAS RECEIVED A GENEROUS GRANTS FROM THE

NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS. 

Ballet Ambassadors is proud to have been accepted as an eligible organization by Materials for the Arts, a division of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.

We are also proud to be funded in part by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation

In addition, we received funding from Con Edison Strategic Partnerships for our "Ballet Beyond the Schools" project. Once again this year, we worked with children from the Prospect Family Inn, a residenece of Homes for the Homeless.
