Ballet Ambassadors
Beginning in 2014, Andrei Kisselev and Yana Volkova, Teaching Artists with Ballet Ambassadors for many years, began carrying on the work in the schools with their own programs. Ballet Ambassadors under the direction of Sondra Forsyth was privileged to serve the five boroughs of New York City as well as schools in Suffolk and Putnam/Northern Westchester counties from 2001 to 2013 with the mission of giving children and teens in schools, afterschool programs, and homeless shelters the chance to share the stage with professional dancers in costumed adaptations of the ballet classics, original ballets, and world dance productions.
